Hullo, I made this game this weekend over 48 hours with my housemate with an idea generated by the video game name generator :)  http://videogamena.me/

This was one of the more amusing titles that came up, so, we went for it in a mad dash.

We learned a lot, so, enjoy the fruits of our labor!

some alpaca studies done for a silly game i’m helping on; the alpaca numbers are going to be a living score board, fluffy and wriggly. The rainbow and poop bum explosions are experiments for showing how hard you’re pushing the poor alpaca and how much power he has / is using. We’re maybe not going to use the poop version due to it totally grossing the designer out but I want to make a polished animated version for my own needs :)

here’s a vectorised version of the dragon head that i posted last time; i’ve built a very basic test version of the head in flash, got some ideas for getting the stomachs to churn and work, just putting down some ideas for how everything pieces together at the moment. I figure that the skull could live inside a stomach, maybe he’s a narrator character for the player or something.

Hey, the abuse continues :D Let’s forget i’m an asshole to tumblr (a tumblasshole i believe they’re called) and focus on what i’m doing here instead.
So, here we have some dragon guts! This chap looks pretty satisfied with his way of life and is eager to help us out in any way he can. What a dude. I’m working on a concept for menus at the moment which are designed around the bodies of monsters and different enviroments. The overarching concept of this body of work is a village lives inside a menu that you create using the natural surrounding enviroment. Kind of like Patapon I guess? Really I just want an excuse to paint and animate monsters, forests and little people :)
In this example, you could tickle the dragon’s chin, slide his teeth up and down as different inputs and his cross-sectioned stomaches serve as save file slots! Gross huh? I’m fantasizing about having lots of ambient gurgling, squelching and other moist animations and noises but, firstly i’m gonna try to get the basic mechanics of the head working in flash.
